All sort of things...

Tomorrow is the las day of my spring break, so in the morning I'm heading to the Yekaterinburg. I'm going earlier - before noon, so I can spend some time in the book store and then go to the dorm to unpack my luggage.
I honestly don't want the end of the year, when it was just September it was so nice and seemed so far. Now, I have to care a lot about my exams. My midterm exams were biology and math, now I have those again plus one more - Russian. Funny thing that one of them could probably be on my birthday, ironically it probably would be zoology.

I'm wishing luck to my friend Dalayna who is now probably on her way back to Texas(or about to be).
I also want to say hey THE BAND. Guys, ya'll are awesome as always.

I apologize in front of Kim, because I forgot to say Happy Birthday when it was the 2nd of March. I am really really sorry, there is no excuse for me. But at least you get one more smile the day you are reading it, because I'm wishing you a happy birthday =) Thank you for all you've done to me, you are a great person and a great mother.

I also want to say Happy Birthday to Tatianna's mom - Rebel Para. I truly respect this woman and very thankful that she treated me as one of her kids. (She is the greatest cook and I still pray for her cheesecakes).

Things in my house are going slow. We finished the walls and set up doors in my brothers room and in the living room, now my stepfather is working on the floor in the living room. I believe that my room will be the last one to be finished. Oh, btw look at my brother's wall - there is a giant picture-poster from the cartoon Cars 2 (he is a great fan) and everything else is like a sky.

Potatoes in 10 steps

I know it's not a recipe blog and I'm not a great cook, but I'll feed you with the yummy stuff. It's easy that's why.
1. Find potatoes.
2. Peel the skin(potatoes' skin).
3. Boil potatoes.
4. Fry them. (lightly golden)
5. Put them in the plate and cut into mouth pieces.
6.  Poor some sour cream on the top.
7. Poor some sweet sauce. I did the pomegranate one. It's perfect for this.
8. Mix sauces.
9. Make sure that potatoes are dipped in the sauce.
10. Eat.

I know you won't do any of this things, but oh well, it's delicious.

Math Dress

My arithmetical progression of dresses increases with another one. No it wasn't the dress I was talking about. But still it's cute.

Friday, be good to me

You know how it always happens when you've been waiting for some special day for a while and the night before or the actual day went so wrong. I've been waiting for this Friday(23rd), I planned to go to Yekaterinburg(if you are confused - yes, I'm going to school there but now it's a spring break so I'm home), meet a friend, go to the Olympiad ceremony to get his award and then search for the dress. I am obsessed with fine dresses and really hoped to get a good one in the mall.
Well, to begin with my bus came late, so my friend Alex was waiting for me like an hour and half freezing outside. I spend about 40 minutes being stucked in traffic jams and by the time we finally came to the station I was so incredibly pissed off.
Next, we went to the coffee shop, to have some breakfast. We had some nice cappuccinos withe Banana Split flavor and Pina Colada flavor which were simple banana and  coconut. For the actual meal (and IT IS actual meal) we had a big piece of the New-York Cheesecake.
After we ate, we headed to the Youth Palace(I figured only now that I shoulda take a picture) for the ceremony. Maybe you are confused a little - what Olympiad? We have those every year in each school in the country on every subject. It consists of few stages: firstly the school level, if you have a good result you move on to the area(the town usually divided into few areas, so now they compete between each other), next step is town, then goes the district - the winners of the town's step compete between each other but now people from different towns from the whole district like in the same place. We went to the award ceremony of district winners and pupils that got good results. The next step would be a country level. Probably the last level, coz I don't think that those Olympiads could go so far to be international. You see it's sort of like UIL. Anyways, it was nice and quick, all participants got some okay headphones.
Then we went to the cafe had some Caesar salad and went to the mall. Here goes not pleasant and maybe selfish part -  I didn't find anything, so my mood was spoiled.
When I was totally desperate and wanted to forget about any shopping for the rest of my life we went to lunch at Traveler's coffee. It turned out that they had some good lunch suggestions, you can buy one lunch and feed two persons. We ordered sandwiches that came out so neat, pasta and some drinks.

We hanged out there for two hours or so when I had the "second breath opened", so we rushed to another mall that was close enough. I was very inspired but here goes the sad part again. I didn't find anything, once again. The last thing that almost smacked me in the face and let me go in knockdown was a lovely top with a enormous price.
After all, we went to the bus station, when I tried to buy a ticket home there was none. Only late buses which were not great with my mother. After all, the lady that worked on the station found a ticket(luckily!!!) for the bus at  about 7 o'clock. But Alex, poor thing, had to wait for his train like two hours after I'm gone.
Anyways, the time at the station was fine and cheering, we meet a guy that goes to school with us, hanged out and set each other in snow.

To sum up, well the day wasn't so bad, except me who badly wanted a new dress and behaving like a little child, but probably, I am gonna go and buy one right now, I saw it two days ago, it is kind of cute, so pray that it's still there or the Saturday will smack me just as Friday did.

I apologize in front of men that read it, coz I understand that you are not interested in girls' cries about shopping and their crazy desires for the dresses . =)

Love y'all.

Spring break

If I were in a regular state school I would write something like a cheerful "Yaaaaay!!!!". But I am not. And at that point, what I am really hoping to do on my spring break is finish my English project, and start to prepare for my summer biology exam. I would scream out "yay" that I have some extra time for doing that, bu I won't because, there is another headache that won't leave me alone for a while - I have to get to a bunch of doctor's appointments - just an ordinary check, but still it's so lame and  boring =\.

Remember how y'all used to say that the weather in Texas is crazy? Well, I think you kinda shared with us a little bit. To begin with, I wanna worn you that there is no snow here all year - it usually melts in March. Though it's almost April we have like crazy snowfalls. And it's not cold at all! We are not freezing! It usually goes like this - a bunch of fabulous snow and then comes the sun and it is melting and then again - "a storm". I think that this year the summer could be actually with the snow on the streets if nothing will change.

Yesterday, I went to my old school. We hanged out between classes, I sat there when they had physics and English, (did some biology). Well, kinda nothing changes =)

Aerobic Festival

Last Friday there was The Aerobic Festival in  my school, the idea of which was to present different teams of high schoolers with a dance performance. There were 32 dances and some of them were really good. I wasn't taking much pictures, because there were an awful light and I couldn't adjust my camera for it, which reminds me now of looking it up on the Internet.
Anyways, I can't suggest you well pictures as you understand, so I'll show you just three of them. If I get some more from the other guy -I'll add them later.
Here you can see the preparation behind the audience sits and in front of the 'stage' - it was held in the men's gym. If you notice girls in black with red spots on their costumes, you should know that they were awesome and very original. They are 11 graders from biological class(yes, you even can see Anastasiya, who you should know from my blog by now. Unfortunately the jury weren't really fair enough(and everybody think so), coz all that they got - the nomination of the most original costumes. I know, that sort of sucks.
If you'll notice girls in green on the left - those are from my biological class, except we are 10 graders

Here is my classmates. Their dance was amazing as well. If you ask me didn't I dance with'em or any other group, I'll tell you that I am totally persuaded (I did it myself) that I can not dance? so I prefered another option that we all had - to dance not in front of EVERYBODY, but just our PE teachers. Not that I'm afraid, but coz I am persuaded, though maybe next year...who knows....

Those guys plus some more girls - won. They were aiming to it and did it. All of them are from our dorm. Wish there would be some video to show.

 Besides
I'd like to make some sort of recognition and advertising.
Morgan Bird, you did a really great job blogging the UMC Haiti trip, it was truly interesting to read=)

Elections

I wasn't going to talk about elections in Russia or any of this politician stuff, well I kinda thought that some of you might be interested, but at the same time I was like - well\ok\whatever.. Anyways, now when it's all over and we have a "new" president for another 6 years, plus I kinda was asked to, I'm going to tell you all the ugly truth.
I'm not sure about the first voting wave(google it for more information), though I know that there were lots of falsifications, that caused lots of strikes and meetings. Mainly people didn't want the party of United Russia to lead the country anymore. Mostly people of young age went there and they actually say some real words. From their opinion(and mine as well) what we have with Putin(current president) is not a progress anymore, we are stucked. My granny says that Putin did a great job - "cleaning" - after the previous president who almost "killed" the country. He put back factories into work, made higher celeries and so on. I agree with it but what's now? The budget for educational and social systems is getting smaller and smaller all the time...
In the second tour, we had 4 candidates.
Vladimir Putin - United Russia. I said here what I could. He won. What a surprise. 63%
Sergey Mironov - Fair Russia. Not a popular one, haven't heard about his companies much.
Vladimir Zhirinovskiy - here goes the "ha-ha-ha-ha". He won't be a president of Russia ever, he is rude and makes himself a clown. I believe that people voted for him just for fun - to make a joke out of it. Not funny though =.=
Gennadiy Zuganov - it's a sweet candy for Mr. B and his jokes, coz this guy represents a communistic party. I've read his "promising" program where he talks a lot about money, well but here is a question - where is he gonna get those money for country. Print? Anyways he got a good percent after Putin, about 17. Why? Probably a bunch of old people(no offense to them) were dreaming about old lifestyle. BTW, this guy is like 70 years old...
Michail Prohorov - self-promotion. Businessman. About 45 years-old. Never married - no family, therefore no family values. Lots of people were thinking that he will become a president, as they founded him a good one to rule the country. I read his "promising" program and think that if he did become a president it would stay as just empty promises. First of all, you can't read the whole stuff that somebody wrote for him - it's too much, too complicated and not acceptable sometimes. Like what the heck with the pension and the amount of kids in the family? Why a person who had 4 kids get more money after he is off from work, while the other guy who worked as well hard or even harder gets less, because he had only one kid? What if the family had a chance only for a one child? Or what if those 4 kids were angels and the one in the family was really hard to cope with... Anyways, I am sleepy and doing an enormous amount of mistakes...
So we have the winner. Putin. Well, at least we know that Russia is still on its place.

Falsifications? Hell, yes!
Another strikes and meeting? Duh.
But no revolution, of course not. Don't believe the mass media. We are too afraid to loose our warm spots.

I'm afraid I'm not giving you the whole possible view, but if so - ask me for details, coz I can't continue that post anymore or I'll fall asleep on keyboard and end this message with zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

International Women's Day

The 8th of March is International Women's Day. It's a day when crowds of men are trying to buy flowers, they say tons of complements and so on, and so on... At the same time it's a Mother's day. granny's and every girl's day. Two weeks earlier was Defender's Day, we usually look at it as The Men's Day, although  you won't find this day as chaotic and crazy  as The 8th of March. Personally, I think it's funny but quiet obvious - women ask for more material attention or any attention.
In my class, boys were very original in a present way.  They had 14 different gifts. There  had to be one girl-volunteer and it was me, I had to turn away from all the presents. Whenever they picked a gift, they lightly described it to me, so I want have a right guess of what is anyways. I had to pick a girl who'll get it. It was pretty cool, oh and I got the best one - Nutella =)
