Aerobics Festival
This year our school held the 20th Annual Aerobics Festival. What this means is that lots of students unite to create a dance performance. My class, well the girlish part of it, suddenly decided that we should take part in Festival, so we did it. Our dance wasn't hard to learn and it didn't require any special skills, but it was great, at least for us, this experience and all those sort of things. I have troubles with finding the video, but here some pictures of our team, it's called DNA(well, daah,we are from biology class). Btw, this ear the jury wasn't loyal, so we were not to them after all =\
I'm going to upload "yearbook" pictures soon.
Besides the school year is getting close to the end, and I guess I'll shut down the project after the prom.

Sing for Spring
This week was just ..... super busy and super exciting, I honestly don't have enough vocabulary to describe how fabulous and full of events this week was!
Let's start with Monday.
On Monday there was a choir concert in the dorm in occasion of the 23rd of February - the Defender's Day in Russia. There were two choirs male and female one. They had to perform 5 songs in different categories (the concert was presented as a contest where 'the friendship' has won): lyrics(romance), patriotic, modern, and the last two - for the choir's own choice. Now the drums, please... because I was in charge of the women's choir. =) It started over a month ago when some guys tried to arrange a mixed choir with both boys and girls. There is a bloody (just kidding) story of how I off seized the power, but in the end when I had only 2 or 3 boys on rehearsals, we decided to be just a women's choir, so nobody will make fun of us. It was taught to choose what we are going to sing, but in the end everything was just fine. 4 songs were Russian ones, so their names won't say much to my foreign public - we sang a romantic song(alike the national), we sang a jazzy song where we danced and moved a lot, we sang about love(the song is actually called Why don't we sing about love..) but we also sang one song in English - ABBA's Mamma Mia. Girls did fantastic, as well as boys - they performed well too. It was an awesome experience, I've never done such a thing before, but I was in choir in my music school and watched my director a lot, so I guess I have to thank her for everything that I've done.
There is a video of our patriotic song, although it's sounds like it belongs to the national culture, it's an author's piece. It's about a man, his horse, empty field, night, the motherland and it's beauty. You may not understand the words, but it's beautiful even with all those bad quality moments, so just listen to it, don't skip anything, the beauty of it in the development, it starts in one way, but finishes a little bit differently. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE WATCH IT) ( I'm the very right one)

Tuesday. Hm,well I've been busy with my prom dress, can't say about it anything =))
Wednesday. The English Song Festival.
Well, that was hilarious, I won't lie it was badly organised, so I believe that people who are in charge really need to rethink some moments about this event to keep it interesting and to keep students staying there till the end. In reality those who perform are the audience and you know what's happening when the performers are done? Right, they leave. But let's get to the point. My English teacher usually makes all her groups to participate (the group consists of 8-11 people from different classes) in this Festival. Last year my group marched with the song We don't need no education that in the middle transferred to Britney's Oops, I did it again. It was kind of , but we rocked. This year we were even more extravagant. We sang Sexual Revolution (Army of Lovers). We rocked again! Everything was appropriate, however the video is not really exciting, so I'll just post some photos. It's the last year at school - we got to be silly. =)
Don't really remember what happened in Thursday. Friday... hm, but I guess I did a lot of studying, because it's only 3 months left until the exam =((( Noooooooooo...
Saturday. IELTS. Don't worry not the real one. My lyceum is attached to the university and a nice teacher that is working here and there from the Languages department arranged "the mock exam". It started in 3 in the afternoon and we finished at 6. At about 7 I had a private Speaking part. Well, what can I say.. Reading, it kills, I got to figure out a system how to make it through one hour with 3 big scientific texts and answering questions about them. Don't want to do it again for a while...brrr...
Sunday, well, what a relief, coz nothing special, I got some stuff for scrap-booking, a new hat which is he color of the yellow mustard and got prepared to another "mock exam", now the Russian one.
The spring came with snow to Russia. It's very snowy and cold. Colder then it was some days in winter, but oh well, it's the same every year. =)
